Your Objectives tell you what to pursue this round. Your Secrets tell you what to protect. The best approach is often to listen carefully, reveal gradually, and let others dig themselves in deeper before you speak.
SMUSH
PART ONE: THE NIGHT OF THE INCIDENT
OBJECTIVES
● Do not get caught. Maintain your version of events: you were with Baby Crap 'n' Naps all evening, you read the story, you went to bed. That is the whole of your night.
● There are rumours of a strange bear with dark fur and round white eyes seen leaving the room. You were supposedly asleep at the time. Consider whether it might help you to build on these rumours, perhaps suggesting you heard or saw something yourself from under the bed.
● During the night you heard Farrington muttering from the toy box: “Would Alex forget so easily if they lost their best friend?” Later, after everything had settled, you heard them say: “Tonight I broke the Bear Code. I know it was wrong. But I did it for you.” It is up to you whether and when you reveal this. Either way, guide the conversation toward Farrington. Make them seem like a bear with something to hide.
● If the topic of Buttons comes up, consider asking about what happened. It may shift attention away from you and onto Farrington.
SECRETS
● You tampered with the clock.
● You assembled a disguise from Gordy's eyes and a piece of dark fur from Alex's craft supplies.
● You left the room and went to the kitchen.
● You moved the label from the safe tupperware to the other one.
● You heard mum and Eddie's mum talking about the nut allergy when you were downstairs during Eddie's goodbye.
